We have been working with Tony Bianco to gather more material for an ‘Improvised Jazz’ scene documentary, provisionally titled Jazz Shaman, which examines the way improvised jazz musicians use their intuition, their interaction with other musicians and the trance state some enter during their performances. We had the opportunity to bring Paul Dunmall to Tony Bianco’s Shropshire cottage for a full blown session, followed by an interview with both Tony and Paul.
